Almond Croissant served on plate

Almond Croissant

Description

Who else loves almond croissants? 🙋‍♀️ Here’s my super-easy way to turn plain croissants into something absolutely drool-worthy. With buttery almond filling and golden, crunchy flaked almonds, these croissants are what breakfast dreams are made of. Bonus? They’re ready in just 10 minutes!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 150g butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup icing sugar, sifted (plus extra for dusting)
  • 4 tbsp plain flour
  • 2 cups almond meal
  • 1 cup flaked almonds
  • 6 croissants

Instructions

  1. Mix butter, icing sugar, flour, and almond meal in a bowl until smooth.
  2. Slice each croissant in half.
  3. Spread the almond mix generously onto the bottom half of each croissant.
  4. Pop the top half back on and spread more almond mix on top.
  5. Sprinkle flaked almonds over the top so they stick to the almond mix.
  6. Place your croissants on a baking tray and bake at 180°C for 10 minutes, or until golden and smelling amazing.
  7. Once cooled slightly, dust with icing sugar for that bakery-perfect finish.
