Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use chicken breast instead of thighs?
Absolutely! While I recommend chicken thighs for their juiciness, chicken breasts work just fine. They cook a bit faster, so keep an eye on them to avoid drying out.
To make a vegetarian version, simply swap out the chicken for tofu or mushrooms. Firm tofu holds up well in the sauce, while mushrooms (like portobello or shiitake) bring a lovely umami flavour.
Yes! This Basil Chilli Chicken freezes beautifully. Just store it in an airtight container, and it’ll keep for up to three months. Reheat in a pan on low heat until warmed through, and you’re good to go.
