Cheesy Baked Meatballs

These cheesy baked meatballs are the sort of dinner that feels extra cosy without being hard work. Tender meatballs, rich tomato sauce and plenty of melty cheese is always a good idea, especially when there is crispy bread on the side.

It is simple, hearty and the kind of meal that goes down very well with the whole family. Big comfort food vibes, not a whole lot of fuss.

The meatballs cook straight in the sauce, which keeps them nice and tender and saves a bit of mucking around. You also get crispy bread on the side for scooping up all that extra sauce, which is never a bad thing.

Soaking the bread first helps keep the meatballs soft and juicy. Keep an eye on the bread while it bakes so it turns golden and crisp without catching.

Serve these bubbling hot with the crispy bread on the side. This is a great one for a cosy family dinner when you want something hearty and easy.
