This easy stir-fry combines tender beef, fresh vegetables, and Hokkien noodles with a quick homemade sauce full of savoury flavour. It’s fast, filling, and perfect for busy nights when you need dinner sorted without a heap of effort.

Ingredients
 

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp beef flavour stock powder
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tbsp crushed garlic
  • 1 tbsp crushed ginger
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp organic apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp cornflour
  • 500 g beef stir fry
  • 2 tsp bi-carb soda
  • 4 cups stir fry vegetables
  • 450 g fresh Hokkien noodles

Method
 

  1. Sprinkle bicarb of soda over the beef and set it aside for 15 minutes.
  2. Place crushed garlic and crushed ginger into a glass measuring cup followed by oyster sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, beef flavour stock powder, cornflour and a cup of water.
  3. Stir altogether in a large glass measuring cup.
  4. Heat your pan with a little bit of olive oil and once it's hot, add your beef into the pan and mix until it’s nearly cooked.
  5. It should only take a few minutes.
  6. Add your vegetables and keep tossing for another few minutes.
  7. Add your noodles and sauce and toss until the sauce has thickened and everything is steaming hot.
  8. Mix everything in the pan together and serve.
