Description

This is the sweet treat you didn’t know you needed but won’t be able to live without. It’s crunchy, buttery, salty, and packed with chocolatey goodness. Perfect for parties, movie nights, or just because you deserve something amazing! Let’s make it together!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 250g Butter 🧈
  • 2 cups Brown Sugar 🤎
  • 1 Tsp Salt 🧂
  • 4 cups Cornflakes
  • 2 Packets Chocolate Chips (500g) 🍫
  • 100g Slivered Almonds

Instructions

  1. Melt butter and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat until combined. Let it boil for 1 minute.
  2. Stir through the cornflakes until they’re well coated in that buttery caramel.
  3. Pour the mixture onto a lined baking tray and flatten it out evenly.
  4. Bake at 200°C for 5 minutes, then let it cool for 10 minutes.
  5. While it cools, melt the chocolate in the microwave for 1.5 to 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  6. Pour the melted chocolate over the cornflake base, spreading it evenly.
  7. Sprinkle with a pinch of salt and slivered almonds for that extra crunch.
  8. Pop it in the fridge until the chocolate sets completely.
  9. Cut into squares or shards and dig in!
