CINNAMON ROLL CAKE = SWIRLY GOODNESS IN A LOAF 🍰🤎
This cinnamon roll cake gives all the gooey, sweet-spiced vibes of a classic cinnamon bun, but with way less effort! Swirled with buttery cinnamon sugar and topped with tangy lemon glaze – it’s soft, rich, and completely addictive.

Ingredients
  

For the cake:
  • cups self-raising flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¾ cup yoghurt
  • 1 egg
  • Splash of vanilla extract
  • 125 g melted butter
For the cinnamon mix:
  • 125 g soft butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
For the icing:
  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • Juice of ½ lemon

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C and line a loaf tin.
  2. Mix melted butter, sugar, yoghurt, egg and vanilla in a bowl. Add flour and stir until combined. Pour into your loaf tin.
  3. In a second bowl, mix the soft butter, brown sugar, flour and cinnamon.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of the cinnamon mix across the top of your batter and swirl through with the end of a knife.
  5. Bake for about 40 minutes – it’s ready when the centre springs back gently.
  6. Mix icing sugar with lemon juice and drizzle generously over the cooled cake.
