Tender corned beef slow-cooked to perfection
Who doesn't love a juicy, melt-in-your-mouth corned beef? Let’s make this old-school classic even easier by using your slow cooker. Just pop everything in, let it simmer away, and come back to the most flavourful, tender beef you’ve ever had. Perfect for a no-fuss family dinner!

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 kg piece corned beef
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 6 cloves
  • 1/2 tbsp peppercorns
  • Water enough to cover

Method
 

  1. Place your beef in your slow cooker.
  2. Pour in enough water to cover the beef and add the rest of your ingredients – bay leaves, brown sugar, vinegar, cloves, and peppercorns.
  3. Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours, depending on how much time you’ve got.
