These cheeseburger sausage rolls are everything you love about a cheeseburger, rolled up in puff pastry. Seasoned beef mince, melty cheese, a stripe of mustard and a few pickles, all baked until golden.

They make a big batch, so they are great for lunchboxes, parties or just to have in the freezer for later. The kids go mad for them.

Why You’ll Love It

These get made on repeat. You get all the cheeseburger flavour in one bite, it makes a big batch that’s great for a crowd, they’re perfect for lunchboxes and parties, they freeze well, and the kids love them.

The Shortcut That Makes It Work

Ready-rolled puff pastry does all the hard work. You just spoon in the filling, roll, and bake, so you get that golden, flaky finish without making any pastry yourself.

Handy Tips

Mix the beef filling well so everything is evenly through it. Do not overfill. A neat line of filling rolls up more easily and cooks through better. Brush the tops with egg or milk so they bake up golden and glossy. Sit them seam-side down on the tray so they do not unroll.

Make It Your Way

Leave out the pickles for fussier eaters, or swap in finely chopped onion. Use a different cheese, tasty or mozzarella both melt well. Make them mini for parties, or full size for a meal with salad on the side.

What To Serve With It

Serve them with extra tomato sauce and mustard for dipping. A simple salad or some veg sticks on the side makes them a meal.

How to Store It

Keep cooked rolls in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. They also freeze well, either cooked or unbaked. If freezing unbaked, freeze them on a tray until solid, then bag them up and bake from frozen, adding a few extra minutes.
