Let’s Get Baking!

Now that you have all the tips and tricks, it’s time to get baking. Start by combining melted butter, sugar, and condensed milk until everything is well mixed. Next, incorporate self-raising flour and your favourite add-ins. Divide the dough into two logs, wrap them in cling wrap, and chill until firm. Once chilled, slice the logs into rounds and bake at 180°C for about 15 minutes or until just golden around the edges.

Simplicity at its yummiest. Enjoy and happy baking! 😋

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use plain flour instead of self-raising flour?

Absolutely! If you only have plain flour on hand, you can still make these. Just add 2 teaspoons of baking powder for every cup of plain flour. This will give your cookies the right lift and texture. 🧁

These can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, you can freeze the dough logs before baking. Just slice and bake as needed for fresh cookies anytime! If you want to freeze them, make sure they are completely cooled, then store them in an airtight container or a ziplock bag for up to three months. ❄️

Yes, you can make these cookies gluten-free! Simply substitute the self-raising flour with a gluten-free self-raising flour blend. Make sure to check that your other ingredients, especially any add-ins like chocolate chips or dried fruits, are also gluten-free. Happy gluten-free baking! 🌟
