This easy snack recipe pairs smooth homemade hummus with crispy Lebanese bread chips cooked in the air fryer. It’s quick to make, great for sharing, and perfect when you want something simple and tasty.

Ingredients
 

  • 420 g chickpeas
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 packet Lebanese bread
  • 1 tbsp ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp garlic salt
  • extra virgin olive oil spray

Method
 

  1. Chips Method
  2. Cut the Lebanese bread into chip sized pieces and lay them out on a board.
  3. Give them a generous spray with olive oil and massage with your hands then sprinkle over the cumin and garlic salt.
  4. Place a liner in the air fryer and place the chips into the air fryer at 200°C for 10 minutes.
  5. Make sure to shake the basket halfway through and check them around the 7-minute mark so they don’t get too dark.
  6. Once golden and crispy, they’re ready to eat.

  8. Drain the chickpeas and discard the liquid.
  9. Add the chickpeas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice and water to the food processor.
  10. Whizz everything for about 2 minutes until super smooth and creamy.
  11. If it looks a little thick, add a splash of water and blitz again.

  13. Place the chips on a plate and serve with hummus.
