Why You’ll Love This Milo Oat Slice

There’s something special about Milo that makes every dessert taste better, and this Milo oat slice is no exception! Here’s why you need to try it:

    • Quick & Easy – Everything goes into one bowl, mixed up, and straight into the oven. No mess, no fuss!
    • Chewy & Chocolatey – The perfect balance of chewy oats and rich chocolate flavour from the Milo.
    • Great for Lunchboxes – This slice holds up well, making it perfect for school or work lunches.
    • Budget-Friendly – Made with basic pantry staples, so you don’t have to buy any fancy ingredients.
    • Customisable – Add choc chips, nuts, or even a drizzle of melted chocolate on top for extra decadence.

The Secret to a Perfectly Chewy Milo Oat Slice

The key to getting that chewy yet slightly crispy texture is all in the ratio of ingredients. Here’s what makes the magic happen:

    • Rolled Oats – These give the slice that perfect chewy texture while keeping it nice and hearty. Avoid using instant oats as they’ll make it too soft.

    • Milo – The star ingredient! It adds that malty, chocolatey flavour we all love. Want it extra chocolatey? Add an extra tablespoon!

    • Brown Sugar – This helps create a caramel-like chewiness that white sugar just can’t achieve.

    • Butter – Melting the butter and mixing it through evenly ensures every bite is rich and delicious.

    • Eggs – These bind everything together and help create that slightly cake-like texture.

Want to take it up a notch? Stir through some choc chips or chopped hazelnuts for an extra crunch!
