Frequently Asked Questions About Microwave Lemon Curd

Can I use frozen spinach instead of fresh spinach?
Absolutely! If you prefer using frozen spinach, make sure to thaw it completely and squeeze out any excess water before adding it to the mixture. This prevents the slice from becoming too watery. Fresh spinach does offer a brighter flavour and texture, but frozen spinach is a convenient alternative that works well too.

Yes, you can make a gluten-free version of this Spinach and Feta Slice. Simply substitute the self-raising flour with a gluten-free self-raising flour blend. Ensure the other ingredients, like stock powder and cheese, are also gluten-free. The result will be just as delicious and perfect for those with gluten sensitivities or celiac disease.

To store leftovers, let the slice cool completely, then transfer it to an airtight container. It can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, you can use the microwave or oven. For the microwave, heat on medium power for a few minutes until warmed through. If using the oven, preheat to 160°C (320°F) and bake for about 10-15 minutes or until heated through. The oven method helps retain the slice’s crispiness.
